EXERCISE THERAPY LAB
The Exercise Therapy Lab at our college is a dedicated facility designed to train students in the principles and application of exercise as a therapeutic intervention for rehabilitation, injury prevention, and overall health improvement. The lab provides a hands-on environment for students in physiotherapy, sports medicine, and other health-related fields to develop practical skills in exercise prescription, assessment, and rehabilitation. Equipped with state-of-the-art exercise and rehabilitation equipment, the lab includes treadmills, stationary bikes, resistance training machines, free weights, balance and stability tools, and various functional training devices. This diverse range of equipment allows students to simulate real-world clinical settings, where they learn to design and implement exercise programs tailored to the individual needs of patients with musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, neurological, and metabolic conditions. In the Exercise Therapy Lab, students learn to apply exercise as a therapeutic tool, focusing on the rehabilitation of injuries, post-operative recovery, chronic disease management, and improving athletic performance. They are taught how to modify exercises for individuals with specific limitations, ensuring safety while promoting effective outcomes. The lab also emphasizes the importance of patient education, encouraging students to guide patients on correct techniques and the benefits of therapeutic exercise.
