World Physiotherapy Day Celebrations 2025
Bethany Navajeevan College of Physiotherapy, Nalanchira, Trivandrum, in collaboration with the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP), Trivandrum Branch, is organizing the World Physiotherapy Day Celebrations 2025 on 11th September 2025 at 11:00 AM in the BNCP Auditorium.
The event is being conducted in alignment with the global theme for World Physiotherapy Day 2025:
“The Role of Physiotherapy and Physical Activity in Healthy Ageing,” with a special focus on preventing frailty and falls.
The program aims to highlight the crucial role of physiotherapy in promoting healthy ageing, improving functional independence, and reducing fall risk among older adults through evidence-based physical activity and rehabilitation strategies.
The Keynote Address will be delivered by Dr. Sreejith M Namboothiri (PT), President, IAP Kerala, and Member, Kerala State Allied and Health Care Council.
The Chief Guest for the occasion will be Shri. Abdunnasir M, Chairperson, Kerala State Allied and Health Care Council.
The Academic Session will be led by Dr. Hari M Krishnan (PT), Branch Coordinator, IAP Kerala, on the topic “Healthy Ageing.”
The event will bring together academicians, clinicians, students, and physiotherapy professionals to foster awareness, discussion, and professional development in the field of geriatric physiotherapy and active ageing.
